Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are actually open and will close on 15 December 2024.

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must meet the following requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home using a combined gross domestic earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined residence income will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and need not submit any proof of earnings.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from households my nsfas with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the proper Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are researching or plan to study in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
